Another good start, 35 points, to lead by four points at quarter time but this was then turned into a one point deficit at half time. In the second half Geelong turned up the defensive pressure and put their foot on the offensive gas for a last quarter where they scored 35 points to 19 points win to set up an 18 point victory.

The Tigers did not help themselves as they hit 14 from 24 from the free throw line at a rate of 58%, which would turn out to be the lowest free throw percentage of the season for the Tigers.

This was not only Geelong’s first win of the season but it was the first time they had won on the road in more than two years.
