The Melbourne Tigers Girls Basketball Club is pleased to announce the coaches for the 2017/2018 VJBL season
Headlining the appointments is Warrick Giddey as the Under 18.1 Head Coach. Warrick is no stranger to the girls program having coached a number of teams over the past years. Warrick has just come off a stellar performance in 2017 as Head Coach of the 16.1 Boys team being crowned VC Champions.
Lloyd Klaman joins the Tigers for his first season as the 16.1 Head Coach. Lloyd a former State Head Coach and NBL Head Coach with the Canberra Cannons, brings a wealth of experience to the role being involved in High Performance programs and is currently the Assistant Coach of the Under 18 Victoria Metropolitan Girls team.
Ray Tomlinson, having just recently been an inaugural inductee into the Hall of Fame, is synonymous with the Melbourne Tigers. Ray will continue as the Head Coach of the Under 14.1 team, building on the foundation he has set in past years.
Matt Cromarty will take the reins of the Under 12.1 team, in what is arguably one of the most important roles. Matt has been a long servant of the Tigers coaching a number of Under 14 teams in previous years and brings his strong technical knowledge to the 12’s program to craft the next generation of Tigers.
The Tigers are extremely proud of the outstanding coaches that the club has secured for the upcoming VJBL season and looks forward to the road ahead.
