It was the Tigers turn to welcome the new team to the NBL, the Townsville Suns.
The Suns got off to a good start, holding a five point lead at quarter time and a one point lead at the half. This margin was reversed at three quarter time to see the Tigers in front by one and expected to win easy as the Suns were backing up after a game in Perth a couple of nights ago.
In what was a low scoring quarter compared to the rest of the game the Tigers prevailed at the end by 8 points to register their second win in a row for the first time this season.
The Tigers recorded season high on the Offensive boards with 29 which then enabled them to record a season high in total rebounds with 59.
