It is with enormous sadness that the Melbourne Tigers have been informed of the sudden passing of a former player and favourite son in Blair Smith.
Blair was a championship winning player for the Melbourne NBL Tigers and his contribution to the club’s proud history will never be forgotten. Tigers legend Lindsay Gaze commented that “It is difficult to accept that one of our favourite sons has left us in the prime of his life. Will Rogers, one of the great USA commentators once said ‘I never met a man I didn’t like’. I never met a man who didn’t like Blair Smith”.
All at the Tigers extend sincerest condolences to Blair’s family; wife Rebecca and children Brayden and Marleigh. Vale Blair Smith. You will be sadly missed.
