The end of the season is drawing nearer and the battle is on for the number 4 spot in the Terrill Pool, with the Knox Raiders (4th), McKinnon Cougars (5th) and Melbourne Tigers (6th) fighting for it.
Melbourne sit a game behind Knox and McKinnon and must win all remaining games if they want to have a chance to play finals.
These 2 teams have a lot of history with some thrilling contests played between the squads. With everything that’s on the line in this game, it should be no different.
Daniel Kinkella and Mason Gaze will be the 2 that could cause the most headaches but if Jakob Cornellisen or Archi Manton get going, the Tigers could become very dangerous. Daniel has been a beast down low as he continues to dominate the paint, while Mason Gaze has shown what he can do from the outside, much like his dad did for many years and with Andrew as coach, he will be sure to remind them what is at stake in this game.
Both sides had 3 game winning streaks snapped in the last round with the Tigers unfortunately dropping 2 games over the round. Look for the Tigers to try and get out into the open court and put the pressure on the Cougars from the tip off.
