The Tigers head to Townsville to take on the Suns in the first of a Queensland double.
The first quarter saw the Tigers take the lead by 7 points but after an even 2nd quarter that lead was cut back to 5 at half time.
The 2nd half turned out to be a shoot out. The Tigers increased their lead to 14 after a 36 – 27 3rd quarter. In the last it was raining points, the home team scored 38 but it was not enough to eat into the Tigers lead as they won the quarter by scoring 39 points to set up a 15 point win.
