Melbourne Tigers appoint Mark Wright as senior women’s coach

Australia’s oldest and most recognised basketball club today announced the appointment of Mark Wright as head coach of its senior women’s team for season 2019. The team will compete in the newly formed Basketball Victoria Elite League.

Melbourne Tigers joins Basketball Victoria Senior Elite League

Basketball Australia (BA) acting CEO Paul Maley, yesterdayformally announced that the BA Board have determined to dissolve the South East Australia Basketball League (SEABL).  BA will now focus on supporting a new competition framework,featuring improved state-run leagues and plans to develop and implement a National Senior Club Championship, beginning in 2020.
